Hi there, little dragons!

Some of you told us that unlocking words in a vocabulary stage could take a while, especially when you were already familiar with those words. Your feedback matters a lot and so we thought a lot about how to improve that.

A big first step is making our Spaced Repetition System (SRS), and particularly the word unlocking system, a little more lenient. This is what this update is all about.

Here's what's new:

Changes to the SRS and the word unlocking system:

• Unlocking words will go a little faster now than before.
• You'll be shown words fewer times before our system considers you know them and are ready to move on to a new one.
• You can't "miss" an answer anymore: before, if you took too long to answer, no matter if your answer was correct or not, our SRS considered you didn't know the word and you'd be shown it again. This is no longer the case.

General Vocabulary Learning

• There won't be any confusion about what you hear and see. The sound is played when you unlock a new word so you have time to learn it before answering it. You can also listen to the word you were previously quizzed on by hovering over it or touching it.
